Chief Executive Officer
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Treaty Authority is a pivotal leader in Victoria’s Treaty Negotiation process with responsibility for steering the organisation’s strategic direction and vision alongside the Members. The CEO will support Members to facilitate Treaty negotiations, administer the Treaty Negotiation Framework, resolve disputes, conduct research and oversee the negotiations database.
The CEO provides strong, purpose-driven leadership, fostering an impactful and engaged organisational culture, while mentoring a high-performing senior team. The CEO also manages day-to-day operations, supports community engagement and maintains strong relationships with key external stakeholders.
Senior Treaty Engagement Officer
The Treaty Authority has an opportunity available for an experienced Senior Treaty Engagement Officer to engage directly with local Aboriginal communities, individuals and organisations to inform them about the Treaty process and ensure their voice is heard.
The ideal candidate will have lived experience and understanding of Victorian First Nations Peoples’ communities along with demonstrated knowledge and extensive experience working with First Peoples’ cultures and communities. This coupled with proven experience in planning and organising community engagement events, supporting the delivery of community engagement strategies and a developed, or developing, understanding of the Victorian Treaty process is essential.
Operations Officer
The role of the Operations Officer is crucial to the organisation and coordination of the broader operational activities within the Treaty Authority focussing on supporting day-to-day operational support in the form of general governance, business services, procurement, IT services, compliance, safety and risk, project management and financial reporting and control.
The Operations Officer will play a key role in maintaining a productive and efficient work environment.
Senior Dispute Resolution Specialist
The Treaty Authority is looking to appoint a Senior Dispute Resolution Specialist to lead the Finding Common Ground (Dispute Resolution) Team, providing strategic and expert advice to Members and the executive team on decisions and actions under the Treaty Negotiation Framework dispute resolution process.
The role will be responsible for building the Treaty Authority’s dispute resolution function and will be accountable for the development, effective management and continuous improvement of dispute resolution systems.
